On Christmas Eve, Winnie Jae Bunny finds Santa's sleigh stuck in a thick woodland drift. Without a clear trail, the holiday cheer may never leave the forest. With Pip the squirrel and Barnaby the bear cub at her side, Winnie sets out into the chilly night. They share warm blankets, tug one another through the deepest snow, and keep going when the trail disappears. Along the way they learn that helping is hard, friendship is warmer than any coat, and the best part of Christmas is not waiting under the tree. By the time they reach home, Santa is free, the sleigh is moving, and three small friends have saved Christmas together.
