Code Overwatch
Two worlds collide in a desperate struggle for justice and global revolution
by masterofinfinity479
A rift in time. A world in chains. A spark of hope. When the Overwatch strike team is ripped from their reality and dropped into the heat of the Battle of Kyushu, they find themselves in a Japan they don't recognize—one occupied by the ruthless Holy Britannian Empire. Led by Winston and Tracer, the displaced heroes must navigate a landscape of systemic oppression and high-tech Knightmare Frames. Standing in the center of the chaos is Zero, the masked leader of the Black Knights. To Lelouch Lamperouge, these newcomers are the ultimate wildcard—a technologically superior force that could finally checkmate his father's empire. But as the idealistic heroes of Overwatch forge a tense alliance with the pragmatic revolutionary, they realize the cost of freedom might be higher than they ever imagined. Hunted by the legendary Suzaku Kururugi and facing a sinister Britannian project designed to strip them of their powers, the team must decide: are they merely looking for a way home, or are they the heroes this broken world truly needs? Code Overwatch is a high-octane crossover where tactical brilliance meets heroic might in a battle to redefine the future of a planet.

Descent into the Inferno
The sky above the Kyushu coastline did not merely change; it fractured. A jagged, shimmering blue vortex tore through the atmosphere, screaming with the sound of tearing metal and displaced temporal energy. The air pressure plummeted in an instant, sending a shockwave across the rocky cliffs and the burning valleys below. Before the local atmospheric sensors could even register the anomaly, a massive crowd of figures tumbled out of the rift, dropping hard onto the cold, damp earth of a world they did not recognize.
Tracer hit the ground rolling, her blue chronal accelerator pulsing violently against her chest as she stabilized her own timeline. She scrambled to her feet, her cropped chestnut hair wild, her eyes scanning the immediate chaos. Around her, the entire roster of Overwatch struggled to find their footing. Reinhardt groaned as his massive armor settled into the dirt; Zarya immediately checked the power cell of her particle cannon; and Mercy, her Valkyrie wings flared in a protective golden arc, was already searching for casualties. Behind them, Winston sat on his haunches, his fingers frantically tapping at his communications console.
"Winston!" Tracer called out, her voice tight with a sudden surge of adrenaline. "Are we back in Gibraltar? What is this place?"
The giant gorilla shook his head, his brow furrowed in deep concern. "I... I cannot get a signal. The comms are completely dead. Not just local channels, Lena. There is no satellite network. No Athena. Nothing."
Before she could process the weight of his words, a deafening explosion rocked the hillside. Down in the valley, a village was burning. Black smoke billowed into the grey sky, thick with the stench of burning plastic and flesh. But it was not the fire that caught Tracer’s attention; it was the mechanical monsters executing the destruction. They were tall, humanoid mecha, moving with a strange, wheeled propulsion system attached to their hips. They slid across the uneven terrain with terrifying speed, far faster than any standard bipedal tank Overwatch had ever encountered. On their shoulders, the emblem of a stylized, triple-winged crest gleamed in the firelight.
"Those are civilians!" Mercy cried out, her blue eyes wide with horror as she pointed toward a group of fleeing families. "They are unarmed!"
A squad of three Britannian Sutherland Knightmare Frames pivoted, their heavy anti-personnel rifles aiming directly at a cluster of women and children huddled against a crumbling stone wall. The imperial pilots did not hesitate. They opened fire, the heavy-caliber rounds chewing through the dirt and concrete, threatening to shred the innocent bystanders in a matter of seconds.
"Not on my watch!" Tracer shouted.
With a twin hum of her pulse pistols, she blinked forward. A blue flash marked her path as she vanished from the hilltop and reappeared directly in front of the lead Sutherland. The pilot barely had time to register the visual anomaly before Tracer blinked again, appearing right beside the mecha’s head-mounted sensor array. She unleashed a rapid burst from her pistols, the energy fire melting through the delicate optical lenses and blinding the machine. The Sutherland swung its heavy arms wildly, but Tracer was already gone, leaving only a trail of light behind her.
"Genji, cover the flank!" Soldier: 76 commanded, his heavy pulse rifle already barking as he suppressed the secondary targets.
The cyborg ninja did not need to be told twice. Genji leaped from the cliff face, his green cybernetic plating gleaming. He fell like a falling star, landing directly on the arm of the second Sutherland. As the machine tried to shake him off, Genji drew his dragonblade. With a single, fluid sweep, he deflected a burst of high-caliber rounds back into the mecha’s shoulder joint, severing the heavy ammunition feed in a shower of sparks and hydraulic fluid. His movements defied the very laws of physics, a blur of silver and green that left the imperial forces utterly bewildered.
From a nearby ridge, shielded by the natural canopy of the forest, Zero stood perfectly still. Through his high-powered binoculars, the masked leader of the Black Knights watched the battle unfold with a mixture of intense calculation and profound shock. His purple cape billowed slightly in the wind, but his gaze remained locked on the battlefield below.
Who are these people? Lelouch thought, his mind racing through every political and military faction in his database. They possess no Sakuradite signatures. Their weapons, their armor, even that flying medical unit... it operates on a completely different technological paradigm. They are an absolute wild card.
Below him, the third Sutherland had managed to target a wounded resistance fighter who was dragging himself through the mud. The pilot raised his giant rifle, preparing to deliver the killing blow. But before the trigger could be pulled, a brilliant golden light illuminated the dark valley. Mercy glided down from the heavens, her mechanical wings spread wide. She landed gracefully beside the fallen man, her Caduceus Staff emitting a warm, radiant beam that instantly stabilized his shattered chest cavity and sealed his bleeding wounds.
The resistance fighter gasped, his eyes widening as he looked up at the angelic figure saving his life. On the Black Knights' tactical cameras, the live feed of this battlefield miracle was broadcast directly to Zero’s command console. The data was impossible, yet it was happening right before his eyes.
"Incredible," Lelouch muttered to himself, his gloved hand tightening around his binoculars. "They do not kill, yet they dominate the battlefield. If I can harness this technology, the empire will stand no chance."
Suddenly, the ground trembled. A high-pitched whistle tore through the air, followed by the devastating impact of a massive artillery barrage. The Britannian command had realized their ground forces were being overwhelmed and had ordered a complete saturation strike on the area. Exploded earth and shrapnel rained down, forcing the Overwatch heroes to fall back. Even Reinhardt's massive barrier began to crack under the sheer volume of the incoming explosive fire.
"We can't hold this position!" Sojourn shouted over the deafening roar of the bombardment. "We need to move, now!"
Through the smoke, a armored transport vehicle bearing the symbol of the Black Knights emerged, its side doors sliding open. A voice crackled through a megaphone from the lead vehicle, directed at the displaced heroes.
"Unidentified fighters! Follow our lead! We have an extraction path cleared through the western ravine! If you stay here, you will be crushed by the imperial reinforcements!"
Tracer looked back at Winston, who gave a grim nod. They had no allies, no communications, and no understanding of this war-torn land. But they knew one thing: the people offering them a way out were fighting the monsters who had just tried to slaughter civilians.
"Right then!" Tracer yelled, blinking toward the transport. "Let's see where this road takes us!"
The White Knight and the Cyborg
The Lancelot's hangar smelled like burnt coolant and fresh sealant, a combination Suzaku had long since stopped noticing. He stood at the foot of the white Knightmare Frame, one hand braced against its shin plating, reading the deployment order on his tablet for the third time. Unknown hostiles. Non-citizen combatants. Intercept and neutralize. He…
