Hellbowned
The Cambion Knight
In the shadow-drenched village of Angola, New York, the locals know better than to wander after dark. They call it Hellbowned—a place where the veil between worlds is dangerously thin. Bellona is a rare cambion warrior, a creature of both Hell and technical precision, dispatched by the deity Atho to investigate a rising darkness. She wasn't sent to save humanity, but to hunt the influence of the dark god Abathur. When she encounters Riley Dreaden and his vampire companions, an uneasy alliance is forged in the blood-stained streets. A brutal war has erupted. Werewolves, vampires, and shadow casters are tearing the town apart, led by the treacherous Alaric and Skye. When one of their own is captured to be used as a vessel for an ancient ritual, the group must transform from desperate survivors into a proactive strike force. Armed with infernal technology and hidden secrets, Bellona must lead a rescue mission that spans dimensions. But with a werewolf bite hidden among them and betrayal lurking in the shadows, the cost of victory may be higher than any soul can pay. The harvest has begun, and the knight of Hell is the only thing standing in its way.

Chapter 1
She walked into the large room. Its floor covered in a thin layer of ash from the fires that jettisoned out the molten rocks that scattered the ground. As a result, it was as hot as hell in the room.
To any normal rational person this would be the place that nightmares are made of. But then she wasn’t normal, she was far from it.
Her name was Bellona and she was a cambion, a race of beings that are believed to be so rare that most have never even heard of their existence and those who fear what they can be capable of.
Bellona continued walking into the room and stopped in front of the wiccan triune god, Atho. She tried to look upon him as best as she could but found it difficult to focus on him because his shape kept morphing from a youthful warrior, an all-seeing father figure and finally to a dark powerful sage.
The only thing that remained constant between all of his forms was the antler like crown that rested upon the top of his head.
“You sent for me, Atho.” Bellona finally mustered out and said to Atho.
Atho looked down from his throne as if just now realizing that he was no longer alone within the room.
“Ah, yes my wayward servant. I want you to go to a small village called Angola in the state of New York. Better known as Hellbowned by the people that live there.” Atho said as he leaned forward in his chair to look down at Bellona.
With crimson red pupils of her eyes becoming fully dilated Bellona looked up at Atho and yelled, “First of all I’m not your servant. You just happen to be the only deity that took me in after what happened to my kind. Now what’s up there?”
Atho got up out of his chair and walked toward Bellona. He said, “There was a group of vampires up there causing some trouble awhile back. It's been quite for about a year now, but I can’t help but believe that Abathur is somehow involved.”
Bellona looked at Atho confused because what he had just said to her made no sense at all.
“So, what exactly is it that you want me to go to that village and do?” Bellona finally asked.
Atho turned looked at Bellona with pure anger written across his face. Before he could open his mouth, the whole room erupted in flames.
“Don’t you listen when people talk to you?” Atho yelled. “I want you to go to Hellbowned, find out what in the hell happened up there and if Abathur is involved.”
“But why me?” Bellona asked. “You know that I hate humans more than any other race in all of existence.”
A smile formed across Atho’s face that went from ear to ear as he said with great joy, “Because, you are one of the most ruthless killers in the seven hells. Are you going to just sit back and let the demons think that's what's left of your race has gone soft or that their still the vicious killers that should be respected.”
After Atho finished his little speech Bellona walked over to a weapons case that appeared out of a fiery pit and began to assemble her armor and weapons for the trip she was about to make.
“Yeah, for once you’re right about something.” was all Bellona could reply to Atho’s comment with.
“Ah,” Atho said. “I almost forgot. There's one more thing. When you get there try to find someone for me.”
Bellona rolled her eyes, not even bothering to listen to Atho’s last comment. She then said, “Great avoid capture and or death in an unknown territory, possibly held by a hostile enemy. Which I would like to point out that I don’t even know who they are. And to top it all off I have to do this all with no backup?”
“If you shut up you would have heard that there is a chance that there is someone that could help you.” Atho yelled, causing the flames throughout the room to flare-up again.
“When you get there look for someone named CJ.” he continued. “If you find him, tell him that Atho sent you and that...”
Chapter 2
It was a stormy night in late August that found Riley perched on the tallest building in the middle of the town peering down at the nightlife roaming unaware of his presence. The rain beat down over his long coat, and for the most part it had kept him mostly dry. The buildings in the town were only separated by a two-lane road, with the buildings t…
