Lisa Young

Lisa Young is a dedicated educator and children’s advocate with over a decade of experience in early childhood development. Based in the Pacific Northwest, she has spent her career helping children find their unique voices in busy classroom environments. Lisa’s writing is inspired by the quiet observers and the dreamers who sit on the edges of the playground. She believes that every child has a story worth telling and that confidence grows one small step at a time. When she isn’t writing, Lisa enjoys watercolor painting, volunteering at her local library, and exploring forest trails with her golden retriever, Barnaby. 'Will You Be My Friend?' is her first book, born from a passion for social-emotional learning and the belief that kindness starts within.
