Today's Question

Does God really love me?

If you have ever asked that question, you are not alone.

Perhaps life has been difficult.

Perhaps you have experienced disappointment, loss, loneliness, or regret.

Maybe you've wondered if your past has placed you beyond God's reach.

Or perhaps you've simply asked yourself,

"If God really loves me... how do I know?"

The wonderful news is that God has already answered that question.

Not through someone's opinion.

Not through tradition.

Not through feelings.

He answered it through His Word.

And His answer is unmistakable.

Yes.

God loves you.

He has always loved you.

He knows everything about you.

Every success.

Every failure.

Every joy.

Every tear.

Every disappointment.

Every fear.

Every sin.

Yet knowing all of that...

He still loves you.

That is the heart of the Gospel.

God does not love you because you have earned His love.

He does not love you because you have lived a perfect life.

He does not love you because you are better than anyone else.

He loves you because that is who He is.

Before you ever thought about searching for God...

He was already reaching out to you.

Before you ever prayed...

He had already made a way for you to come home.

Before you ever loved Him...

He loved you.

Key Scriptures

John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

This may be the most familiar verse in the Bible, but it is also one of the most beautiful.

Notice where everything begins.

It begins with God's love.

Imagine the greatest gift anyone has ever given you.

Now imagine giving your own son or daughter so someone else could live.

Most of us cannot fully comprehend that kind of sacrifice.

Yet that is exactly what God did for us.

John 3:16 is more than a well-known verse.

It is God's declaration of love to the world.

Because God loved us...

He gave His Son.

Because He gave His Son...

We have hope.

Because of Jesus Christ...

Eternal life is possible.

Every nail driven into the cross reminds us how far God's love was willing to go so we could come home.

Romans 5:8

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

God did not wait for us to become worthy of His love.

He loved us while we were still separated from Him by sin.

He took the first step.

The cross was not an accident.

It was God's plan to bring His children home.

2 Peter 3:9

"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise... not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."

God does not delight in people being lost.

His desire is that every person has the opportunity to know Him, repent, and receive the salvation He offers through Jesus Christ.

1 John 4:9–10

The Bible teaches that we love because God first loved us.

Love did not begin with humanity.

Love began with God.

Everything we know about genuine love finds its source in Him.

What We Learn

From these passages we learn that:

• God loves every person.
• God's love is not earned; it is freely given.
• God demonstrated His love by sending Jesus Christ.
• Salvation begins with God's love and grace.

What This Means

Many people spend their lives trying to earn God's approval.

The Bible tells a different story.

God loved us before we ever deserved it.

His love is the reason He made a way for us to be forgiven.

That does not mean everyone automatically receives the blessings of salvation. As we continue through this guide, we will discover how God asks us to respond to His invitation.

Everything begins here.

Not with fear.

Not with guilt.

But with love.

God's justice is perfect.

God's holiness is perfect.

Yet His love is equally perfect.

The cross is where God's justice and God's love meet.

Why This Changes My Life

When we truly understand God's love, everything begins to change.

We stop seeing God as distant and begin seeing Him as our loving Father.

We stop believing our past is too broken for God to heal.

We stop wondering if our lives matter.

Instead, we realize we are loved beyond anything we could have imagined.

God's love is not simply information to believe.

It is an invitation to accept.
