Professor Pendark is the stage alter ego of Richard Bateman, a writer and performer who uses persona as a laboratory for shadow work. His pieces move between verse, flash fiction, scripts, and argument, asking how grief, desire, and mortality can be faced without becoming cruelty. He writes from the conviction that character is not innocence but mastery: looking at hunger, naming taboos, and practicing honor.
