Richard Luskin
Richard Luskin is a refugee from big law firms and corporations with residual hippie DNA from a 60s escape from the Vietnam War to remote islands in Fiji and the distant mountains of New Zealand. Returning to law school after a twelve year break from his undergraduate degree, he graduated and then worked in a white glove SF law firm, created a global environmental operating foundation for the President of the Walt Disney Company, was General Counsel to the iconic climbing/skiing company Black Diamond and General Counsel for the Swedish bike and ski racing gear company POC. After 35 years of General Counsel stress and writing thousands of legal briefs hardly anybody read, including the judges, he began writing things that are more fun. His work blends sharp wit with genuine heart, focusing on characters who find themselves stuck in boxed in situations with sketchy exits. When he isn't drafting his next novel, Richard is a glorified ski bum which he covers up as General Counsel for iconic outdoor companies. He no longer bills by the hour. He bills by the vertical feet.
