No. Your page is hosted for you at aiwritebook.com/author/your-slug or nanoreads.com/author/your-slug, whichever you pick. There is nothing to buy, install, or deploy, and no theme to maintain.
Yes. Your slug starts out generated from your name and you can change it to any combination of lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores. One exception: once you have published a book to NanoReads, the slug locks so existing links keep working.
A book appears once it has a title, a cover, and a written first chapter. Every book also has its own visibility toggle, so you can keep one hidden while the rest stay live.
On each book page you decide how many chapters after the free first one are gated. A reader who wants to keep going enters an email (and a name if they like), gets those chapters immediately, and joins your subscriber list. The unlock is remembered per book, so the same reader meeting a second title fills the short form again. You can search that list, export it to CSV, remove entries, and send them a launch email when a new book is ready.
At any time. Switching the page off replaces it with a paused notice and tells search engines not to index it; switching it back on brings the page and all of your books back. Subscribers can also unsubscribe themselves from any email you send them.
It is built for it. Each page emits a title based on your name and the genres you write, a description from your bio, a canonical URL, Open Graph and Twitter card tags with a cover image, and Person structured data linking to your other profiles. Pages are cached and served fast rather than rebuilt on every visit.
