Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions

Effective 15 September 2026. Last updated: 15 September 2026.

These Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your participation in the AIWriteBook affiliate programme. AIWriteBook ("we", "us", "our") operates the AI book writing platform at aiwritebook.com. You ("Partner", "you") are the individual or entity that accepts these Terms and promotes AIWriteBook in exchange for commission. Please read them carefully before joining.

1. Introduction

By applying to, joining or participating in the AIWriteBook affiliate programme you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree to them, do not join the programme and do not promote AIWriteBook as a partner.

We may modify these Terms at any time by giving you 30 days written notice at the email address registered to your partner account. Continued participation after that notice period constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Your participation is also subject to the AIWriteBook Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to the extent they apply to you as a user of the platform.

If you joined the AIWriteBook affiliate programme under our previous affiliate terms, these Terms take effect for you on 15 October 2026, following 30 days written notice. The commission rates and payout threshold published at aiwritebook.com/en/affiliates apply to you from today, because they are more favourable to you than the terms they replace. The one change that is not simply an improvement is attribution, which is now first click rather than last touch, and that change takes effect for you on 15 October 2026.

2. Commission structure

Commission rates, tier thresholds, qualifying products and the tracking cookie duration are those published at aiwritebook.com/en/affiliates, as updated from time to time. Those published terms form part of this agreement and are deliberately not restated here, so that every partner is always on the same current terms.

  • Attribution is first click. The first affiliate link a visitor uses is credited with the referral, and a later affiliate link does not displace it while the original tracking cookie is still live.
  • The minimum payout threshold is $25. A balance below the threshold rolls over until the threshold is reached.
  • Approved commissions are paid on a net 30 basis after the applicable holding period has elapsed.
  • Commission is payable only on qualifying paid purchases that we have received and retained. Free accounts, trials that do not convert and cancelled orders do not earn commission.
  • Tracking, attribution and commission amounts are those recorded by our affiliate platform.

We do not guarantee any level of earnings. Nothing in these Terms is a promise of a minimum number of referrals or a minimum amount of commission.

3. How commission is calculated

Commission is calculated at the rate in force at the time each payment is made, not at the rate in force when the customer was first referred.

This means that when your rate changes, the new rate applies to every payment made after the change, including payments from customers you referred before the change. If you move to a higher rate, that higher rate applies to subsequent renewals and purchases from customers you referred earlier.

We disclose this because it differs from programmes that lock a rate to the date of referral. In practice it has so far always worked in the partner's favour, but the rule is as stated above and it applies whichever way a rate moves.

4. Commission eligibility and clawbacks

A commission is earned only where the referred customer's payment is valid, retained and in good standing. A commission is forfeited where:

  • the referred customer requests and receives a refund within 60 days of the transaction
  • the referred customer initiates a chargeback at any time
  • the referred customer cancels during the pending period before the commission is approved
  • the referred customer's account is not in good standing at the time of payout
  • the underlying transaction is reversed, disputed or found to be fraudulent

Where a chargeback occurs within 120 days of the original transaction, we may claw back a commission that has already been paid, by deducting it from your future balance or, where no future balance is available, by invoicing you for it.

Self referral is strictly prohibited. You may not use your own affiliate link, code or coupon for your own purchases, or for purchases made by a household member, an entity you control or anyone acting on your behalf. We may void any commission that we determine arises from a self referral, and repeated self referral is grounds for termination.

5. Promotional guidelines and required disclosures

You must clearly and conspicuously disclose the affiliate relationship in all promotional content, in line with the United States Federal Trade Commission endorsement guidelines and any equivalent rules that apply where you promote. Acceptable disclosures include:

  • "This post contains affiliate links from which I may earn a commission"
  • "Ad" or "Sponsored"
  • "I earn a commission if you sign up through my link"

The disclosure must appear near the relevant link or endorsement, where a reader or viewer will see it before acting on it. A disclosure placed only in a page footer, an about page, a separate disclosure page, a pinned comment or behind a "read more" expander is not sufficient.

You are responsible for complying with the disclosure rules of every platform you promote on, including that platform's own paid partnership tools where they are required. Failure to comply with this section is grounds for immediate termination and forfeiture of all unpaid commissions.

6. Prohibited promotional methods

The following promotional methods are prohibited. Using any of them is grounds for immediate termination and forfeiture of all unpaid commissions:

  • Brand bidding: Bidding on "AIWriteBook", or on any variation, misspelling or derivative of it, in any pay per click or paid search campaign, including in display URLs and ad copy. You must add all AIWriteBook brand terms as negative keywords in every campaign you run.
  • Unsolicited email or spam: Sending unsolicited email, direct messages or bulk messages of any kind that promote AIWriteBook, and posting promotional content where it is off topic or against the rules of the forum or community.
  • Fake reviews or testimonials: Publishing reviews, ratings, testimonials, screenshots or results that you have not genuinely experienced, or misrepresenting what the product does, what it produces or what it costs.
  • Unauthorized coupon codes: Creating, publishing or implying discount codes, promotions or offers that we have not issued to you in writing.
  • Cookie stuffing or adware: Setting tracking cookies without a genuine click by the visitor, and any use of adware, browser extensions, toolbars, pop unders, hidden iframes or forced redirects to set or overwrite affiliate tracking.
  • Domain squatting: Registering or using domains, subdomains, social handles or app names that contain our brand name or a variation of it that is likely to be confused with it.
  • Brand impersonation: Presenting yourself as AIWriteBook, using our name as a sender or account identity, operating support or sales channels that appear to be ours, or otherwise implying that you speak for us.
  • Coupon and deal site promotion: Promoting AIWriteBook on coupon, voucher, cashback or deal aggregator sites without our prior written approval.

7. Content and brand usage

You may use the logos, banners, screenshots, product images and marketing materials that we provide, for the purpose of promoting AIWriteBook under this programme.

You may not alter, distort, recolour or recombine our trademarks or logos, register them or anything similar to them, or use them in a way that implies official endorsement, partnership or employment beyond the affiliate relationship described in these Terms.

You are responsible for the accuracy of every claim you make about AIWriteBook, including claims about pricing, features, output quality and results. Where our product changes, you must correct or remove content that has become inaccurate.

You keep ownership of the promotional content you create. You grant us a non exclusive right to reference, quote and share that content for the purpose of promoting the programme and the product.

8. Payouts and taxes

Payouts are issued through a third party payout provider. These Terms govern commission eligibility and the amount owed to you. The transfer of funds itself is governed by that provider's own terms, which you may need to accept, along with their verification steps, before a payout can be sent.

You are responsible for supplying accurate and current payment and tax details, and for keeping them up to date. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any tax due on the commission you receive.

We may delay or withhold a payout where payment or tax details are missing, incomplete or unverified, where a balance is under review for suspected fraud or a breach of these Terms, or where withholding is required by law. Provider fees, currency conversion and bank charges may reduce the amount that reaches you.

9. Relationship of the parties

You participate in the programme as an independent contractor. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, franchise or agency between you and AIWriteBook.

You have no authority to make representations, commitments or agreements on our behalf, and you must not present yourself as having that authority. You are responsible for your own costs, equipment, personnel and compliance obligations.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate your participation in the programme at any time, for any reason, by giving written notice to the other.

On termination, commissions that have cleared the applicable holding period and have been approved are paid if they meet the $25 minimum payout threshold. Unpaid commission below the threshold is forfeited. You must remove all AIWriteBook affiliate links, banners and promotional materials within 14 days of termination.

We may terminate immediately and without notice for any violation of these Terms, including failure to disclose the affiliate relationship, brand bidding, self referral, fraud or any other prohibited promotional method. In that case all unpaid commission is forfeited, and we may claw back commission already paid on affected transactions.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including commission clawbacks, brand usage restrictions, limitation of liability and governing law, continue to apply after termination.

11. Modifications to the programme

We may modify commission structures, tier thresholds, cookie durations, qualifying products and other programme terms by giving 30 days written notice to active partners at their registered email address.

Continued participation after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the change. If you do not accept a change, your remedy is to leave the programme before it takes effect.

Changes are prospective only and do not affect commissions that have already been approved. As set out in section 3, commission on each new payment is calculated at the rate in force at the time that payment is made.

12. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for tracking failures, cookie loss, browser or device restrictions, ad blockers, technical issues, downtime, or any loss of referrals, commission, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity arising from your participation in the programme.

Commission calculations are based on the tracking data recorded by our affiliate platform, which is considered final. If you believe an attribution is wrong, contact us and we will review it in good faith, but we are not obliged to pay commission on a referral that our platform did not record.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you under these Terms is limited to the amount of approved and unpaid commission owed to you at the time the claim arises.

The programme is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free or that it will continue to exist.

13. Data protection

We process your personal data, such as your name, contact details, payment details and referral activity, in order to operate the programme, calculate commission and pay you.

We share the data that is necessary for those purposes with our affiliate platform and our payout provider, who act either as our processors or as independent controllers of their own records.

How we handle personal data, and the rights you have over it, are set out in our privacy policy.

Read our privacy policy

14. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will stay in full force.

You may not assign or transfer your participation, your partner account or any rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision or of any other provision.

These Terms, together with the programme terms published at aiwritebook.com/en/affiliates, are the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the affiliate programme, and they replace any earlier affiliate terms you accepted, including terms hosted by a previous affiliate platform.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Norway, without regard to conflict of law rules.

If a dispute arises, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve it through good faith negotiation, by contacting each other in writing and allowing a reasonable period to reach a resolution, before pursuing any other remedy.
