Kenneth M. Latta is a dedicated military historian and researcher specializing in the logistical and human realities of the Civil War through the eyes of a 20-year Navy veteran and Navy Intelligence HUMINT Analyst. Drawing upon archival manifests, diaries, and post-war transcripts, Latta brings overlooked historical narratives to light with meticulous rigor and empathetic storytelling. When he is not scouring regional archives or walking historic battlefields, Kenneth enjoys lecturing at local historical societies and exploring the Southern backcountry. An avid Harley Trike rider, he and his wife of 51 years routinely spend motorcycle road trips through the southeast United States. Iron and Murky depths is his latest investigative history.
