AI Audiobook Studio
Turn a finished book into a multi-voice audiobook: a distinct AI voice for every character, emotion-aware delivery, a studio where you can retouch any single paragraph, and a mastered export ready for retail.
Give every character their own voice
Pick a book, choose a narrator, and the studio casts your characters automatically, renders the audiobook chapter by chapter, and masters it into files you can actually publish.
How it works
Pick your book
Choose any finished book in your library — fiction, non-fiction, or a visual book. The chapter text already in your editor is the script, so nothing gets pasted or re-uploaded.
Pick your narrator
Every audiobook is narrated with ElevenLabs v3, our highest quality model, the one that understands emotion tags. Pick your narrator from 25 professional voices, each with a preview you can play before you spend a credit.
Review the casting
The studio reads the book, finds who speaks each line, and proposes a voice for every character. You review the cast list and swap any voice before a second of audio is rendered.
Render chapter by chapter
Chapters render one at a time so you can listen as you go, stop, adjust, and continue. Nothing forces you to commit the whole book in one shot.
Fine-tune any paragraph
Hear a line you don't like? Regenerate it on its own for a few credits, or re-record it together with its neighbouring lines so the delivery still matches. Either way the rest of the chapter stays exactly as it was.
Export mastered files
Every chapter is loudness-mastered in your browser to the preset you pick — retail audiobook (-19 LUFS) or streaming (-14 LUFS) — and encoded at 128, 192 or 256 kbps. Export it as one merged MP3 with a chapter-markers file, a ZIP of numbered per-chapter MP3s, or an M4B with chapter markers built in, each carrying your title, author and cover art.
What the studio does
Everything below happens inside AIWriteBook — no separate DAW, no voice actor, no recording session.
A voice per character
Dialogue is annotated automatically by speaker, then cast to distinct voices. You stay in control: the cast list is yours to review and change before rendering.
25 professional voices, previewable
Eleven female, thirteen male and one neutral narrator voice, in American, British, Australian and Swedish accents. Play any of them before you commit, so you audition your narrator instead of guessing.
Emotion-aware delivery
The studio adds emotion tags to the script where the scene calls for them, so a whispered line lands as a whisper and a shouted one as a shout.
Whole scenes recorded in one take
Neighbouring paragraphs are narrated together in a single request, so the voices react to each other and the pacing carries across a scene instead of resetting every paragraph.
Surgical paragraph regeneration
Re-render a single paragraph rather than the whole chapter. Fixing one bad line costs you one line, not an hour.
Retail-grade mastered export
Loudness normalisation to a retail (-19 LUFS) or streaming (-14 LUFS) target and MP3 or M4B encoding at 128, 192 or 256 kbps are applied to every chapter, which is the shape distributors expect from a finished audiobook.
Chapter files, merged file, and markers
Download a ZIP of numbered chapter files, the whole audiobook as one merged MP3 with a chapter-markers text file, or an M4B with chapters built in — whichever your distribution route asks for.
Fiction, non-fiction, and visual books
Multi-voice casting shines in dialogue-heavy fiction, and a single steady narrator handles non-fiction and visual books just as well.
Where you can publish it
You export standard MP3, ZIP and M4B files, so they work anywhere audiobooks are sold. Here are the routes authors use most.
Where AI narration is accepted
- Spotify, through Findaway Voices — AI narration is allowed as long as you disclose that the audiobook is AI-narrated.
- Google Play Books, which accepts self-published audio and has its own AI narration programme.
- Your own author page on AIWriteBook, your website, your newsletter, or a podcast feed — direct sales keep the whole margin and have no exclusivity strings.
Before you upload
- Store policies on AI narration differ and keep changing, and most simply ask you to declare it. Check the policy wherever you plan to publish before you upload.
- Amazon also runs KDP Virtual Voice, which narrates your ebook with Amazon's own voices inside KDP — a separate route you can use alongside the files you export here.
What it costs
The Audiobook Studio is a paid feature and it bills in credits by the character, so a short book costs less than a long one.
Narration is 1 credit per 12.5 characters. Multi-voice casting adds 20% on top, and while the studio is in beta every render is then discounted by 75% — a temporary launch discount that will end, after which the full rate applies. The exact cost is shown before you render, and you can see the wider credit pricing for everything else.
